Durham University Botanic Garden
Durham University Botanic Garden is a 10-hectare (25-acre) garden located on the southern outskirts of Durham city, nestled among mature woodlands. Established in 1970 and managed by Durham University, the garden serves both as a resource for scientific research and education and as a public attraction, welcoming over 80,000 visitors annually.
The garden features a diverse collection of plants from across the globe, including collections from North America, the Himalayas, and China, as well as specialized areas such as the Alpine Garden, Winter Garden, Bamboo Grove, and a wildflower meadow that supports local biodiversity
